Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Planning Coordinator in Torrance, CA to support purchasing, scheduling and expediting goods. The role emphasizes coordinating with engineering, sourcing and stockroom teams to meet production targets and on-time customer deliveries.

Responsibilities include updating POs in the MRP system, handling ERP-driven inventory transactions, and supporting cycle counts and annual inventory activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of experience in supply chain operations or an associate degree in a related field.
• Ability to work with multiple functional departments (sales, operations, finance, quality).
• Experience with planning and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Initiate documentation and system transactions to allocate, purchase, or reschedule material.
• Use PO past-due reporting to set new delivery due dates.
• Coordinate with engineering and sourcing to drive supplier fulfillment from PO to receipt of parts.
• Act as liaison between Planning and Stockroom for timely order processing and inventory kitting.
• Update POs in the MRP system to reflect design and delivery changes.
• Collaborate with quality and production buyers to prioritize supplier docs and FAIRs.
• Coordinate with buyers to resolve MRB items and RTV shipments.
• Perform routine inventory counts on MRB, RTV, and Hold locations.
• Ensure MRB and WIP MRP transactions are conducted accurately.
• Support cycle counts and annual plant physical inventory activities.
