Job summary

Aston Carter is hiring an Inventory Planner for a fast-moving production environment in Redmond, WA. This role focuses on managing cycle counts, material flow, and kitting processes while coordinating with material handlers, planners, engineers, and technicians to ensure accurate, available materials and proper documentation.

The position emphasizes a startup-style atmosphere, growth potential, and a hands-on approach to improving inventory and production processes from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience in materials control, inventory, fulfillment, production, manufacturing, customer service, or retail.
• Experience on a high-mix, low-volume production floor.
• Ability to coordinate across material handlers, planners, engineers and technicians.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and maintain records.
• Willingness to learn in a start-up style, ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage cycle counting to keep inventory accurate and support production needs.
• Receive material bags from warehouses and verify all components for technicians.
• Issue work orders on time, track materials and sub-assemblies.
• Inspect sub-assemblies for accuracy and quality before shadow box placement.
• Organize and label shadow boxes for easy technician access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material, kitting, and inventory issues.
