Job summary

Aston Carter in Decatur, IL is seeking a Logistics Planning Analyst I to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials in line with production schedules. You will review production and shipment schedules, compile reports on inventory levels and costs, and support efficient supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and attention to detail.
• MS Office proficiency and data entry experience.
• Familiarity with shipping and production regulations.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years in logistics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine documents, materials, and products to verify completeness and conformity to standards.
• Monitor work processes to ensure production meets quality and schedule requirements.
• Review production schedules to determine material requirements and priorities.
• Record production data including volume produced and material consumption.
• Maintain inventories of materials and supplies to meet production demands.
• Compile reports on inventory levels and costs for decision-making.
• Analyze data related to supply chain and logistics to identify trends and improvements.
• Document customer information accurately in internal systems.
• Apply laws and regulations related to shipping and production when reviewing docs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth flow of materials and information across departments.
