Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an Inventory Specialist to drive store-wide inventory best practices across both front-end and pharmacy operations. You will help manage receiving, counting, ordering, returns, and ensure accurate planograms, pricing, and on-shelf availability, while maintaining strong customer service and store cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail experience.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task.
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and SOPs for the entire store (front end and pharmacy).
• Support pharmacy inventory management: receiving, counting, ordering, and returns.
• Champion On-Shelf Availability and ensure planogram accuracy and pricing integrity.
• Review reports and system applications impacting on-hand balances and pricing.
• Execute front end and pharmacy pricing, including price changes and signage accuracy.
• Assist with packaging deliveries, scans, and pickup program participation.
• Open/close duties and cash handling in designated stores as needed.
• Engage customers, greet and assist, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
