Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, is seeking a Material Supervisor in Greensboro, NC to drive replenishment, lead a team, and optimize inventory. You will oversee Kanban, manage shortages, ensure on-time deliveries, and collaborate with production, planning, and purchasing to maintain stock and working capital.

The role requires a BS/BA in Supply Chain (preferred), 2+ years in materials/warehouse, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
• Lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Capable of rapid concept grasp and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Drive replenishment of make and buy parts to target inventory levels.
• Lead and train direct reports and ensure process sustainment.
• Lead Focus Factory Daily Management meetings on Inventory.
• Oversee Kanban audits and countermeasure reporting.
• Escalate POA material shortages as needed.
• Monitor on-time delivery of consignment receipts.
• Coordinate escalations with receiving and material handling teams.
• Review accuracy and urgency of direct reports.
• Interface with production, planning and buying teams.
• Issue corrective actions as required.
• Manage and optimize inventory programs to protect production and working capital.
• Collaborate on new product releases and seasonal inventory planning.
• Maintain clear internal and external communication.
• Ensure accurate real-time inventory and FIFO adherence.
