Job summary

NVR is seeking a Materials Supervisor for our Fayetteville, NC plant. You will lead a team of Planners, maintain critical materials metrics, and drive strategies to optimize inventory and service levels.

You will coordinate with suppliers and leadership to ensure PPV, inventory turns, and spend goals are achieved. The role requires a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 2+ years of leadership in inventory control or supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Inventory control or supply chain experience.
• Excellent problem-analysis and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and reliability.
• Proven ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Balance customer demand with materials spend, optimize inventory balances based on demand, lead times, usage, storage and costs.
• Reduce inventory levels while improving service levels and minimizing slow-moving stock.
• Develop ideas to improve operational efficiency and execute the Materials strategy.
• Maintain Lumber Stat Page and other critical Materials metrics.
• Ensure PPV, Inventory Turns, Rail Car Percentage, Inventory Balance and Materials Spend targets are met.
• Support vendor performance and supplier relationships with Corporate Procurement.
• Ensure cycle count program complies with policies and audits.
• Assist in planning and management of semiannual plant-wide physical inventory.
• Lead and mentor department personnel, coach, and manage staffing decisions.
