Job summary

Vermeer Corporation in Piedmont, SC, is seeking a detail-oriented material handler to coordinate the flow, inventory levels, replenishment, and allocation of parts to build our products. You will work with teams globally to support efficient supply chains.

You will organize kits, enter material transactions in Glovia, and help maintain accurate order data while supporting ECN processes and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year related experience or six months Vermeer material handling experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred.
• Forklift certification required for the work location.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with managers and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage inventory according to standard work and procedures.
• Coordinate replenishment and adjust inventory levels with production schedules.
• Deliver part kits from various sources to internal and external customers.
• Enter material transactions into Glovia as issued and ensure order accuracy.
• Support ECN processes and address scrap levels on the production floor.
• Coordinate with outside suppliers for outsourcing steps like heat treatment.
• Support 5S goals and mentor new team members.
