Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five or more years of experience in production/material control.
• Strong understanding of material control concepts and stockroom procedures.
• Customer-focused with ability to analyze issues and interpret data.
• Good organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with computers, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours as required.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor inventory and work orders; ensure traceability.
• Coordinate with departments to support material requirements.
• Restock inventory on shop floor and manage levels.
• Update movement of parts and back orders.
• Deliver materials to production areas.
• Review material requisitions for proper allocation.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Inspect received items and verify conformance.
• Transfer vendor paperwork and ensure damaged goods processed.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and safety procedures.
• Observe all laws and safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
