Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Material Control Specialist III to maintain optimal inventory levels for production and operations. You will track, reconcile, and analyze inventory data, working with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to minimize discrepancies and improve flow.

The role requires hands-on inventory handling, cycle counts, and ERP/MRP experience, with potential responsibilities for packaging and shipping as needed. A DoD/ITAR context may apply depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 2–5 years of related inventory/stockroom experience or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems for inventory tracking and control.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production.
• Receive, count, and record stock using computerized systems.
• Pack/unpack items and stock shelves in an orderly manner.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances with procurement/production teams.
• Distribute materials to customers or coworkers based on requisitions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/MRP system.
