Job summary

Walter S Pratt & Sons is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee receiving, storage, and replenishment, ensuring stock is accurate and costs are controlled. You will lead a small team, maintain NetSuite records, and drive cycle counts and audits to minimize variances.

The role involves forecasting demand, coordinating with purchasing, and producing leadership-ready reports on stock levels and carrying costs. Experience in FIFO/LIFO and barcoding is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain with supervisory experience
• Hands-on experience with inventory management or ERP software and strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of FIFO/LIFO, ABC analysis, and just-in-time replenishment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; identify trends and errors
• Clear communication with suppliers, sales, finance, and warehouse teams
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, storage, stock rotation, and order fulfillment to match demand
• Maintain accurate records in NetSuite and reconcile discrepancies
• Plan cycle counts and annual inventories; investigate variances
• Forecast demand using sales trends, lead times, and seasonality
• Collaborate with purchasing to place orders and track shipments
• Reduce shrinkage and waste through audits and control measures
• Produce reports on stock levels, turnover, and costs for leadership
• Ensure storage areas are safe, organized, and compliant
• Identify and implement process improvements like layout or automation
