Inventory Manager Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee warehouse inventory operations, vendor ordering, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and material flow. This position will own key inventory KPIs while leading warehouse personnel and partnering with Operations to ensure parts and materials are available to support customer and field service needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory KPIs, including inventory turns, balances, replenishment levels, and overall inventory accuracy.
- Place orders with vendors and enter/manage purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Monitor vendor performance and follow up to ensure on-time delivery of parts and materials.
- Oversee receiving, shipping documentation, inventory transfers, and warehouse transactions.
- Manage cycle counts and physical inventory processes to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain appropriate MIN/MAX inventory levels and truck/bin replenishment requirements.
- Manage warranty parts, cores, returns, and related inventory processes.
- Lead and support warehouse material handlers and inventory clerks.
- Maintain chain-of-custody procedures to minimize inventory loss and leakage.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between branches and operational locations.
- Analyze inventory reports and adjust stocking levels to maintain right-sized inventory.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Field Service, vendors, and internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse inventory management experience.
- Experience with vendor ordering, purchase orders, replenishment, and MIN/MAX inventory controls.
- 1+ year of experience working with a major ERP system such as Vision, SAP, Microsoft, or Acumatica.
- Experience managing truck, bin, or field-service inventory replenishment.
- Strong knowledge of cycle counts, physical inventories, warranties, returns, and inventory reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to analyze inventory data and KPIs.
- Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of inventory experience within a field service, equipment, parts, distribution, or similar industry.
- Experience managing 500+ SKUs and approximately $1M or more in inventory value.
- Previous experience leading warehouse or inventory personnel.
