Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Marin, part of the Swickard Auto Group, is seeking an Inventory Manager to keep a luxury lot precise and market-ready. You’ll manage inventory location, status, and documentation, ensuring clean title flow and timely deliveries while coordinating with sales and service teams.

Qualifications

• Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience preferred.
• Strong DMS proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK is a plus.
• California DMV title and registration knowledge is advantageous.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; accuracy at a luxury store is required.
• Reliable, self-directed and able to manage multiple pieces without errors.
• Clear communicator across sales, service and vendors.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage all new and pre-owned inventory on the lot with accurate location, status and availability.
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries, inspections and processing from transport and allocation.
• Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory and ensure compliant flow.
• Monitor aging, turn rates, and lot positioning to support pricing and acquisitions.
• Coordinate with service for pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning workflows.
• Support trade-in processing and pre-owned intake with accurate records.
• Assist with auction activity and inventory acquisition as directed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage all new and pre-owned inventory on the lot -- vehicle location, status, and availability tracked accurately in the DMS at all times
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries -- receiving, inspecting, and processing new inventory from transport and OEM allocation
• Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory -- ensuring clean title flow and compliance with California DMV requirements
• Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot positioning -- surfacing relevant information to sales and leadership to support pricing and acquisition decisions
• Coordinate with the service department on pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow for incoming stock
• Support trade-in processing and pre-owned vehicle intake -- ensuring accurate records from point of acquisition
• Assist with auction activity and vehicle acquisition coordination as directed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience preferred -- candidates with transferable organizational and administrative backgrounds encouraged to apply
• Strong DMS proficiency preferred -- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience a plus
• California DMV title and registration knowledge a significant advantage
• Highly organized and detail-oriented -- inventory accuracy at a luxury store is non-negotiable
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage multiple moving pieces without losing accuracy
• Clear communicator who works effectively across sales, service, and external vendors
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
