Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Marin, part of Swickard Auto Group, is seeking an Inventory Manager to keep the luxury lot organized, accurate, and market-ready. You will oversee vehicle locations, statuses, and registrations, ensuring precision in a fast-paced Bay Area environment.

Ideal candidates bring dealership inventory or title experience, strong DMS skills (Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK), and a meticulous, self-driven work style. This role supports sales, service, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Inventory and title management experience preferred.
• Strong DMS proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK is a plus.
• Knowledge of California DMV title/registration is advantageous.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Reliable, self-directed and able to manage multiple items.

Responsibilities

• Manage all inventory on the lot, including location, status, and availability in the DMS.
• Coordinate incoming deliveries and process new inventory from transport/OEM.
• Handle title and registration documentation and ensure CA DMV compliance.
• Monitor aging, turn rates, and lot positioning; surface data for pricing decisions.
• Coordinate with service on pre-delivery inspections and reconditioning workflows.
• Support trade-ins and pre-owned intake with accurate records.
• Assist with auction activity and stock acquisition as directed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage all new and pre‑owned inventory on the lot -- vehicle location, status, and availability tracked accurately in the DMS at all times
• Coordinate incoming vehicle deliveries -- receiving, inspecting, and processing new inventory from transport and OEM allocation
• Manage title and registration documentation for all inventory -- ensuring clean title flow and compliance with California DMV requirements
• Monitor inventory aging, turn rates, and lot positioning -- surfacing relevant information to sales and leadership to support pricing and acquisition decisions
• Coordinate with the service department on pre‑delivery inspections and reconditioning workflow for incoming stock
• Support trade‑in processing and pre‑owned vehicle intake -- ensuring accurate records from point of acquisition
• Assist with auction activity and vehicle acquisition coordination as directed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Dealership inventory, lot operations, or title experience preferred -- candidates with transferable organizational and administrative backgrounds encouraged to apply
• Strong DMS proficiency preferred -- Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience a plus
• California DMV title and registration knowledge a significant advantage
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented -- inventory accuracy at a luxury store is non‑negotiable
• Reliable, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple moving pieces without losing accuracy
• Clear communicator who works effectively across sales, service, and external vendors
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
