Job summary

VIAVI Solutions is seeking a Material Coordinator to ensure efficient material flow within the supply chain, support manufacturing operations, and maintain inventory integrity. The role involves shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment across warehouses or production lines.

You will work with SAP/Oracle ERP systems, coordinate with production and purchasing teams, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in material handling, inventory control, or logistics.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) for inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Performs shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment tasks.
• Checks goods against purchase orders or invoices; maintains records.
• Packages and prepares products for shipment; posts weights and charges.
• Operates forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Reviews orders; stocks and distributes merchandise in warehouses or lines.
• Manage and coordinate movement of materials; receiving, storing, issuing, shipping.
• Perform inventory control tasks including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) for transactions and reports.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality to ensure material availability.
• Prepare shipping documents including packing lists and bills of lading.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse environments.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize flow and reduce waste.
• Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
