Job summary

Walgreens Co. stores require a detail-oriented inventory specialist to manage both front end and pharmacy inventory, pricing, receiving, and returns. You will train staff on inventory best practices and support asset protection efforts while ensuring accurate planograms and on-hand balances.

In designated stores, you may open/close, handle cash, and supervise store operations on duty. The role emphasizes thorough understanding of store systems, exchanges, and vendor returns to maintain stock

Qualifications

• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending solutions.
• Pharmacy license or state certification as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices for the store and pharmacy.
• Support inventory management activities including receiving, counting, ordering, and returns.
• Review reports and systems to ensure accurate front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
• Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection, and manage associated recalls and claims.
• Open and close the store in designated locations, including cash handling and POS duties when on duty.
• Perform pricing activities, including price changes, markdowns, and signage accuracy.
• Assist front end and pharmacy ordering, monitor orders, and manage inventory counts.
• Prepare for physical inventory and support inventory day activities.
