Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. seeks an Inventory Specialist to monitor warehouse stock and perform cycle counting. You will verify materials, process reports and transfers, and support improvements in inventory control processes.

Responsibilities include daily to monthly cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and reconciliation of counts with ERP records. Proficiency in Excel and experience with WMS/ERP systems are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or cycle counting.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
Experience with WMS or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
Experience in Manufacturing industry.
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in related field is a plus.
Relevant Warehouse experience within the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis.
Reconcile physical counts with system records and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions and audit trails.
Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and report findings to management.
Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, and shipping teams to correct inventory issues.
Assist in identifying process improvements to reduce inventory errors.
Support physical inventory counts and audits as required.
Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems to track and manage inventory.
