Job summary

Benchmade is seeking a Material Handling Technician to pull, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipping in our Oregon City facility. The role includes refilling product bins, receiving inventory, and maintaining accurate records.

You will work with Syspro MRP and MS Office tools in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or are enrolled in school, with familiarity in warehouse operations, inventory

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED equivalent, or current enrollment in high school.
Familiarity with MRP systems and performing inventory transactions.
Basic understanding of inventory controls and cycle counting.
Strong computer and data entry skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Good verbal and written communication with internal customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

Manage inventory electronically using Syspro MRP system (and other computer applications).
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock; records location of inventory.
Perform cycle counts of inventory.
Provides excellent service to customers (internal stakeholders) and vendors.
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; identify when lock out, tag out is appropriate.
Display awareness to safety guidelines and report safety concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Support on-going reporting of key performance metrics.
Contribute ideas to improve warehousing procedures.
