Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a hands-on accounting leader with strong US GAAP expertise to deliver accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls across the organization. You will oversee inventory accounting, product costing, close activities, forecasting, audit compliance, and transformation initiatives while supporting strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in large organizations.
• At least 3 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage general and inventory accounting tasks, product costing, inventory reporting, and related financial activities.
• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and corporate reporting.
• Oversee inventory controls, cycle counts, SOX compliance, and internal/external audits.
• Provide financial and accounting support across the end-to-end supply chain (sourcing, Operations, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, distribution).
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sourcing, FP&A, Corporate Finance to support performance and decision-making.
• Drive transformation, SAP optimization, standardization, automation, and process improvement.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team fostering accountability and collaboration.
