Job summary

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to create and maintain inventory files for perishable and hard goods.

You will work on a cross-functional team to optimize inventory utilization and service levels in a fast-paced, real-time environment, using inventory systems, reporting tools, and collaboration across departments to ensure accurate availability across Atlas and web channels. The role emphasizes strong math and analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and Access, and

Qualifications

• Experience in retail is preferred.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• Understanding of merchandising, inventory management, marketing, and operations.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and Access; Atlas and Oracle are a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and diagnostic tools for the department (IMON, ATS, shipment files, po reports).
• Monitor inventory reports and resolve issues to ensure accurate stock availability.
• Issue approved purchase requisitions and monitor order/inventory status for timely delivery.
• Create system transfers for inventory distributions.
• Compile month-end inventory data and support obsolescence reviews.
• Perform month-end physical inventory accumulation and reconciliation; review inventory costs and valuation.
