Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a proactive Inventory Control Leader to manage and develop the Inventory Control team across a perishable distribution environment. You will coach staff, drive accuracy, and collaborate with vendors and operations to minimize losses.

The role demands strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast paced DC setting, with a focus on safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College coursework or continuing technical education preferred.
• Experience in distribution centers preferred.
• Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) preferred.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure while prioritizing multiple requests.
• Strong math skills to justify action plans.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead Inventory Control team, coaching and mentoring for consistent performance.
• Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and promote a collaborative environment.
• Ensure inventory control accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with operations and other DC leaders.
• Monitor KPI and safety to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee recall, quality control holds, and disposition of damaged product.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with customers and vendors about items, levels, and concerns.
