Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking an Inventory Control Lead to coach and develop a team in one of our perishable distribution centers. You will verify inventory accuracy, reduce shrink, and maintain strong vendor and staff relationships to support efficient operations.

You will schedule shifts, monitor KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement while delivering reliable service to our members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• College coursework or comparable business experience preferred.
• Experience in distribution centers preferred.
• Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and provide clear feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, train, and mentor Inventory Control team members.
• Set expectations, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure inventory control accuracy and integrity.
• Cooperate with operations and other DC leaders.
• Maintain documents and records; monitor KPIs and safety.
• Oversee recall and disposition of damaged product; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee ABC Cycle Count program; account for losses and communicate findings.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement in inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with customers and vendors about items, inventory levels, and services.
• Schedule inventory team shifts and ensure coverage; maintain attendance.
