Job summary

Capitol City Produce is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead our inventory control team in a fast-paced refrigerated environment in Louisiana.

You will oversee cycle counts, inventories, and ERP/WMS accuracy, coach staff, and partner with Operations to drive continuous improvement and reduce shrinkage.

This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inventory control, warehouse operations, or supervisory experience.
• Food distribution, manufacturing, or high-volume warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Control team
• Oversee daily inventory accuracy and stock integrity
• Coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes
• Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Warehouse leadership to support demand planning
• Improve inventory processes that reduce shrinkage and increase operational efficiency
• Prepare inventory reports and communicate findings to leadership
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and company standards
