Job summary

Gainey's, a Louisiana-based precast concrete leader, is seeking an Inventory Control/Warehouse Clerk to oversee warehouse organization and the contracting shop. You will coordinate incoming shipments, manage receiving, storage, and timely distribution.

The role emphasizes accurate inventory analysis, proactive communication with Purchasing, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Candidates should be detail-minded, able to work independently or with a team, and adhere to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily inventory analysis and resolves discrepancies.
• Restocks supplies and special orders as needed.
• Ensures items are stored properly and in the correct location.
• Communicates with Purchasing about new items and in-stock status.
• Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records deliveries.
• Ensures packing slips are received by Purchasing daily.
• Unloads trucks and sorts/stocks receivables.
• Operates forklift safely when required.
• Interacts with vendors and drivers professionally.
• Maintains safe and organized warehouse inventory.
• Conducts bi-weekly/monthly inventory counts in various areas.
• Supports dispatch as needed.
