Job summary

Wald Family Foods in Burlington, IA is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records and support effective inventory management at our food manufacturing facility.

You will perform cycle counts, investigate variances, ensure proper product rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and collaborate with Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams to minimize discrepancies and support production planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years inventory control or materials experience (food manufacturing or regulated environment preferred).
• Experience with inventory management systems or software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying plant conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances in a timely manner; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through proper transactions and adjustments.
• Ensure correct product rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and proper storage practices in accordance with food safety standards.
• Support receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes to help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams on inventory-related issues and material availability.
