Position Summary
We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist who will play a key role in managing inventory levels at our Marshall and Erwin locations and supporting all inventory-related NetSuite initiatives. This position requires close attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory and support overall company profitability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, punctual, and enjoys working in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

General Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure adequate inventory levels, including cycle counts.
  • Review and reconcile all Production Orders in coordination with the Inventory Control Clerk.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Packaging, and other departments.
  • Support the Warehouse Management System rollout, serving as liaison between Inventory Control, Warehousing, and the NetSuite team.
  • Ensure timely completion of cycle and quarterly inventory counts.
  • Audit facility inventory regularly and generate reports for management.
  • Train staff on cycle counting and inventory control procedures.
  • Stay current with NetSuite and other technology updates.
  • Follow and recommend improvements to inventory-related policies and procedures.
  • Manage and update inventory records in NetSuite, including movements and deletions.
  • Identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist with accounts payable/receivable and related accounting tasks.
  • Provide basic IT troubleshooting support.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Food Safety And Quality Responsibilities

  • Follow GMP policy in production areas and encourage others to do the same.
  • Understand and support SQF policies for pest control, allergen management, visitor protocols, and sanitation.
  • Uphold our company's commitment to food safety and quality.
  • Support COA verification to ensure accurate documentation of incoming ingredients.
  • Report food safety or quality concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager for CAPA investigation and resolution.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Travel requirement of up to 20%
