Job summary

White Cap in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to support daily order processing by auditing inventory and maintaining system balance. You will resolve discrepancies, ensure accuracy, and participate in cycle counts while adhering to internal controls.

Qualifications

• Audits inventory and maintains system balance during daily order processing.
• Resolves discrepancies and ensures compliance with internal control procedures.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and follows up on previous adjustments; completes cycle counts.
• Manages time control tables and allocations.
• Receives products from vendors and checks quality; communicates issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory manuals.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds; adheres to safety policies.

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap…

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
• Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
• Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
