Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an organized Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory accuracy. You will handle receiving, shipping, transfers, reconciliations, and inventory records while working closely with technicians, project coordinators, and the centralized dispatcher.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5 years of purchasing or inventory experience.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with technicians, office staff, and a centralized dispatcher.
• Excellent computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to pass a drug and background check.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lb.

Responsibilities

• Receive purchase orders and process incoming material accurately.
• Ship and receive material daily and maintain logs.
• Execute receipts, issues, and transfers of materials.
• Receive materials in ACE and transfer to sub-inventories or job costing.
• Notify project coordinators when job cost materials arrive.
• Reconcile material from job cost and customer credit returns.
• Coordinate RMA requests and credit returns for excess, warranty, or repair material.
• Keep ACE, logs, and material records current.
• Maintain inventory integrity and support the material coordinator.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances and documentation issues.
