Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Materials Manager in the United States to oversee inventory, warehousing, and staff of Supervisors totaling ~50 reports. The role emphasizes OSHA compliance, accurate material controls, and efficient material movement within a manufacturing and warehouse setting.

Candidate will drive quarterly and annual counts, lead training, and ensure documentation for regulated materials. Reporting to the Director of Operations, salary range is competitive with market data.

Qualifications

• College/University degree or diploma in business, with a focus on supply chain or operations management preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in inventory and/or warehousing settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety with OSHA guidelines and lead a safety-first culture.
• Maintain accurate raw material and finished goods inventory counts.
• Oversee warehousing, shipping/receiving, and intercompany transactions.
• Plan warehouse layout and optimize space to prevent loss and improve efficiency.
• Lead staff development, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
