Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to own inventory accuracy across multiple sites. The role involves on-the-floor counting, verifying orders before shipment, and resolving discrepancies in real time, while collaborating with the remote accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The candidate will lead cycle counts, supervise staff, and travel between facilities to verify inventory, with a strong emphasis on improving processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in hands-on inventory control in food, beverage, or shelf-stable consumer goods manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong ERP background, preferably NetSuite; other ERP systems accepted if skills are strong.
• Experience collaborating with accounting to reflect inventory movements in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy across multiple sites via counts and verifications.
• Lead cycle counting programs; address discrepancies at their source.
• Coordinate with accounting on inventory adjustments and related financial reporting.
• Supervise counting staff; make senior-level decisions as needed.
• Travel between facilities to verify inventory and identify process gaps.
• Identify and implement outside best practices to improve inventory control processes.
