Job summary

Wood-Mizer is seeking an Inventory Control Manager at the Batesville site to own material integrity across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and service parts. You will design controls, lead training, and drive cycle counts while coordinating with Finance and Production to optimize working capital and throughput.

The role starts without direct reports and grows into building a dedicated inventory control team, with occasional travel to branch locations and extended hours during inventories and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on inventory control in manufacturing.
• 2+ years of leadership experience, including cross-functional work.
• Experience designing cycle count programs and improving accuracy.
• Experience delivering training and procedures to frontline employees.
• Experience with physical inventories and partnering with Finance.
• Strong understanding of inventory flows, WIP transactions, and accounting.
• Advanced ERP/MRP knowledge and Excel skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to branch locations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SOPs and standard work for inventory control.
• Audit ERP inventory transactions and physical movements for accuracy.
• Develop and deliver tiered inventory training for all material handlers.
• Lead ABC cycle count program and drive variance resolution.
• Keep WIP accurate and coordinate with Production and Finance to close jobs on time.
• Plan annual physical inventories and support month-end/year-end reporting.
• Coordinate transfer, in-transit, and receipt procedures with branches.
• Collaborate on stocking strategies and lean improvement to balance availability and investment.
• Establish site KPIs and report accuracy, value, turns, aging, and training.
