Job summary

RJW Logistics Group is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to perform cycle counts and bin location audits, assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies, and work with the Inventory Supervisor on inventory-related tasks in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard.

The role requires counting items, inputting data accurately, and maintaining inventory integrity, with forklift/cherry picker experience and basic MS Office skills. The position is office/warehouse based with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 months related experience in Inventory Control.
• Minimum 1–3 months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
• Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
• Experience using WMS software is a plus (Synapse preferred).
• PC literate with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical counts of inventory items to maintain accurate inventory.
• Count and reconcile randomly chosen or selected part numbers and/or locations daily.
• Accurately input inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
• Complete necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
• Trace the history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with inventory processes and procedures and contractual obligations.
• Physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
• Utilize computer terminals to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
