Job summary

White Cap is seeking an Inventory Control Associate at our Memphis, TN location to help keep stock levels accurate and ready for daily orders. You will audit inventory, resolve discrepancies, process cycle counts, and ensure compliance with internal controls while handling products from vendors and maintaining safety standards.

Preferred qualifications include forklift experience, Spanish language ability, knowledge of Oracle-based sales order systems, and a solid understanding of construction

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap…

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
• Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
• Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
