Job summary

White Cap is seeking an Inventory Control Associate in Memphis to audit and balance inventory during daily order processing and ensure accuracy across the system. You will resolve discrepancies, maintain control procedures, and support buyers on quality issues, with safety as a top priority.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, forklift and Oracle proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while adhering to company policies. Come grow with a trusted distributor in construction.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with warehouse software and processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve issues, adjustments and discrepancies.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and complete follow up to adjustments.
• Maintain time control tables and assist in allocations.
• Receive products from vendors and communicate quality issues to buyers.
• Follow safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
• Typically 2–5 years of experience.

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap…

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.

• Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.

• Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.

• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.

• Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.

• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.

• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.

• Follows company safety policy and procedures.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.

• Spanish language proficiency.

• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.

• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
