Job summary

West Marine in Rock Hill, SC is seeking an Inventory Clerk II to maintain accurate inventory using various tools and controls in our distribution center. You will support cycle counts, location reconciliation, and audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and external auditors.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to perform a range of warehouse duties, including

Responsibilities

  • Cycle Count Batch counting.
  • Location Reconciliation and reporting, including HOLD and RETURNS slots.
  • Department Auditing, including SOX self-audits and corrective actions.
  • Updating and maintaining the Coaching Logs.
  • Research Pick Exception/Creation Exception.
  • New Product Slotting and Re-slotting, and special projects.
  • SKU Reconciliation and Destroy in Field requests.
  • Review orders driven to “Work” status.
  • Maintain research, filing and record keeping.
  • Maintain 100% productivity and accuracy.
  • Operate equipment (OP, Reach, Rabbit) with certification.
  • Ensure a safe, clean work environment and comply with safety rules.
  • Comply with legal requirements to maintain shop stability.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Inventory Clerk II is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory, using various tools and functions, to the standards of the controls established by DC Management and external auditors. West Marine is a Drug-Free Workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Cycle Count Batch counting
  • Location Reconciling as a function and through reporting, including HOLD and RETURNS slots
  • Department Auditing, Including SOX Self Audits and Corrective Actions
  • Updating and maintaining the Coaching Logs
  • Pick Exception/Pick Creation Exception research
  • New Product Slotting, Re-slotting, and Special Projects
  • Sku Reconciling and Destroy in Field requests

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Crew Member works near moving equipment.
  • Position is routinely exposed to hot and cold temperatures during Summer and Winter months in the Distribution Center
