Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to support the Accounting Director with day-to-day and month-end tasks, including inventory related activities. The role is based in Phoenix with a hybrid schedule in-office Tuesday-Thursday, reporting to the Store Support Office.

The candidate should have 2+ years of accounting experience, strong communication skills, and intermediate Excel. Workday experience is preferred but not required.

• Intermediate Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and period-end entries and account analyses, assist with account reconciliations related to Sales/COGS/inventory for stores and DCs with internal control documentation.
• Perform transactional research related to inventory shrink and margin including book inventory, sales, COGS, rebates, and shrink reserve.
• Perform margin and shrink reporting.
• Perform corporate approval for physical inventories.
• Research variances between book and physical inventory values and coordinate resolutions.
• Coordinate with stores and 3rd party count services for inventory counts.
• Process eCom partner POs and Invoices (within Workday).
• Process food safety recalls.
• Collaborate on reviews of shrink, cost of goods and margin outliers.
• Create ad-hoc reports and analyses.
• Serve as primary backup for other departmental tasks.
