Job summary

Actalent in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Inventor Designer to support the design and manufacturing of modular wall systems and architectural products. You will produce manufacturing drawings, 3D models, and BOMs using Inventor and Vault, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

The role focuses on CAD data management, drawing accuracy, and design iteration in a contract-to-hire arrangement with competitive benefits and hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of drafting, detailing, or design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong experience using Autodesk Vault or similar PDM systems.
• Experience creating: 3D Models
• Shop Drawings
• Assembly Drawings
• Manufacturing Drawings
• Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and production.
• Utilize Autodesk Vault to manage CAD files, revisions, drawing releases, and engineering documentation.
• Work closely with engineering, drafting, and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings are accurate and production-ready.
• Review and update existing Inventor models and drawings based on design changes and customer requirements.
• Support manufacturing by creating detailed documentation for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Maintain proper revision control and file organization within Vault.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Participate in process improvements related to Inventor workflows, Vault data management, and drafting standards.
