Job summary

ACS Manufacturing, INC is seeking a Mechanical Designer responsible for completing and releasing drawings that satisfy customer design requirements, industry specifications, and company standards. Prepare or modify drawings in a timely manner while working under the direction of the Mechanical Design Manager.

The role requires strong CAD skills, including AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, with experience in sheet metal and structural fabrication contexts.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in drafting/design or 2 years’ similar experience.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and sheet metal fabrication preferred.
• Pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Release drawings that meet customer design requirements, industry specifications and company standards.
• Create part assembly drawings based on design created by Engineering or Sales.
• Produce sets of unusual and complex drawings with multiple section views, component drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Work from sketches (red line), computer models, and verbal information supplied by Engineering or Sales.
• Maintain compliance with tight schedules and effectively manage own time.
