Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) is seeking a Manufacturing Designer (Inventor) to produce accurate 3D models and drawings for manufacturing components using Autodesk Inventor.

The role reports to the BIM Manager and involves creating parts lists and ensuring smooth transitions from R&D to production. The ideal candidate will have a CAD-focused background, strong reading of plans, and at least two years of Inventor experience, with collaboration across design and field teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Completion of a degree or certificate in CAD technology or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of employment with a design or construction firm.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Two years' work experience with Autodesk Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings of manufacturing components using Autodesk Inventor.
• Generate processes, parts lists, or BOMs for various assembly levels.
• Resolve design/manufacturing issues through structured modeling and drafting.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure smooth transitions to manufacturing.
• Prepare layouts for design collaboration, construction, and installation.
• Develop SOPs for technical documentation processes and continuous improvement.
