The role includes calling physicians a day before cases to confirm sequence preferences, completing anesthesia charges, auditing nursing data records, and assisting in process development for computer system conversions.

Qualifications

• Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills required.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and works well under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Ability to use judgment in problem solving.
• Basic knowledge of services, procedures and equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
• Familiar with physical anatomy and anatomical body parts preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, patient medical records and clinical documentation preferred.
• Knowledge of human anatomy, procedure length and average case length for each physician to provide the best fit for all cases in the elective schedule.
