Job summary

Providence is seeking an RN First Assistant (RNFA) to support the operating surgeon during the intra-operative phase. You will control bleeding, provide wound exposure, and perform suturing and other surgical tasks under the surgeon's guidance.

Qualifications include an accredited RNFA program, California RN license, and at least 3 years of OR scrub/circulating experience, with a BLS certification. This position is based at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange.

Qualifications

• Accredited RNFA program completion required.
• California RN license upon hire.
• 3 years of OR scrubbing and circulating experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during intra-operative phase with hemostasis and exposure.
• Perform suturing and other surgical tasks per protocol.
• Utilize nursing/medical skills to support safe operative care.
• Follow Providence policies and standard procedures.
