Job summary

Scratch Restaurants Group is seeking an experienced Bartender for our intimate 10-seat Sushi Bar. You will execute all front of house service, manage sake and Japanese whiskey pairings, and deliver exceptional dining experiences.

As the sole FOH member, you will host guests, explain beverage options, take orders, prepare and serve drinks, and assist the chefs. You will design seasonal cocktails inspired by Japanese influence and ensure flawless service while working nights, weekends, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender, sommelier, or fine dining waitstaff.
• Experience in Japanese concepts with knowledge of sake and Japanese whiskeys preferred.
• Passion for hospitality and ability to provide thoughtful, precise service.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the point of contact for all guest needs during omakase, coordinating with the Chef for timely service.
• Welcome guests, explain beverage options, take orders, prepare and serve beverages, execute pairings, and assist chefs.
• Provide fine dining service focused on storytelling and product knowledge, rooted in hospitality and craft.
• Design and execute seasonal cocktail menus reflecting Japanese influence while complying with liquor laws.
• Oversee daily bar setup, prep, cleanliness, and closing procedures.
• Manage guest payment collection with accuracy and gracious hospitality.
• Interact with guests and team members with warmth and professionalism.
• Host in our lounge when required by Management.
