Job summary
Sushi by Scratch Restaurants seeks an experienced Bartender to execute Front of House service at an intimate 10-seat sushi bar. You will manage beverage service, sake and Japanese whiskey pairings, and a la carte drinks, delivering exceptional dining experiences in a quiet, guest-focused setting.
As the sole FOH member, you will ensure smooth service, oversee bar operations, and work within local liquor laws while crafting seasonal cocktails and non-alcoholic options that honor Japanese
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender, sommelier, or fine dining waitstaff.
- Preference for candidates with experience in Japanese concepts, sake and Japanese whiskeys.
Responsibilities
- Be the point of contact for all guest needs during omakase dining, coordinating with the Chef for timely service.
- Explain beverage options, take orders, and serve all beverages, including sake and whiskey pairings.
- Provide fine dining service focused on hospitality and product knowledge.
- Design and execute seasonal cocktail menus reflecting Japanese influence and local liquor laws.
- Oversee daily bar setup, prep, cleanliness, and closing procedures.
