Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, is hiring an Interventional Technologist II for the Cardiac Cath and EP labs. This full-time day shift role includes required call and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

The department performs diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures under physician direction. Expect 10 patients per day with rotating call after 4 PM and some weekend coverage. Four 9-hour shifts with rotating days off.

Qualifications

• Trade School graduate with BLS; ACLS within 90 days.
• ARRT CI/RCIS or ARRT Radiography credentials required.
• One of ARRT CI, ARRT Radiography, ARRT VI/RCIS certificates.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex invasive interventional procedures under physician direction.
• Provide patient and family education and safety instructions.
• Operate interventional equipment and monitor patient condition during procedures.
• Complete accurate department documentation and maintain equipment and inventories.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.

Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring an Interventional Technologist for the Cardiac Cath and EP labs in Charlottesville, VA! This is a full time, day shift with required call. Sign On Bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates!

About the department: This well-rounded team includes 20 members focused on Vascular Intervention Department patient populations. The Interventional Tech II can expect to see 10 patients per day. The schedule is Monday to Friday days with no weekends. Rotating call after 4PM is required. Weekend call starts at 7am once per month. Schedule is four 9-hour shifts with rotating days off. The Interventional Technologist II performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols: provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations; participates in departmental performance improvement activities.

Education Trade School Graduate required Certification/Licensure BLS required ACLS within 90 days of hire One of the following Certifications required: ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Radiography (R) ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Experience 1 year of experience preferred vascular experience preferred

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
