Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Non Invasive Cardiology department. This full-time day shift role includes 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with a 4-hour Saturday every 3rd week from 8a–noon. Ideal candidates have EKG/Telemetry experience and stress testing background.

Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Non Invasive Cardiology department. This is a full time-time day shift position in Charlottesville, VA. No Call, no nights! Ideal candidates will have a background in EKG, Stress Testing, and Telemetry.

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. One Saturday day shift of 4 hours every 3rd week from 8a to noon. Variable shift times, all morning hours for Stress Testing.

Sign on bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates.

About the department

The noninvasive team at Sentara Martha Jefferson includes RN’s, Cardiovascular Technicians, and Sonographers seeing an average of 7 patients a day both inpatient and outpatient. This role will focus on supervision of stress testing and monitor placement as well as backup for CCTA, MRI, and cardiac PET scans. RN Responsibilities

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Qualifications

Education: Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)

Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure: Registered nursing License (Required) ACLS required prior to completion of orientation BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience Preferred: 1-2 years Cath/EP Lab, radiology, or cardiac step-down experience will be considered. Ideal candidates will have a background in EKG/Telemetry and Stress Testing. Critical care experience in hospital required.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
