Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an Interventional Tech for the Cath Lab to join a dedicated team. The role involves performing complex invasive interventional procedures under physician supervision, patient and family education, and ensuring equipment safety and proper documentation.

The position is full-time days with 36 hours weekly and some call. Qualified candidates will have graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT radiography certification, and BLS

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• CI/NIR certification preferred or must be obtained.
• VIR certification or experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• RCIS or RCES certification required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Sign on Bonus & Hours/Shift

Sign on Bonus Available Hours/Shift: Full Time Days-36 hours per week, 4 (9 hour shifts a week) with some call.

Responsibilities

Performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols: provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations; participates in departmental performance improvement activities

Qualifications & Certifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required;
• CI/NIR (Neuro Interventional Radiography) certification preferred or must be obtained.
• Vascular Interventional Radiography (VIR) certification or experience preferred.
• BLS certification required;
• ACLS preferred.
• BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required.
• ACLS will be required within 90 days of hire.

Compensation

The base pay range for full-time employment is $40.10 - $60.59 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
