Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an Interventional Radiology Support Specialist to assist physicians in interventional procedures, manage procedure rooms, and ensure patient safety and data integrity. You will handle equipment setup, sterilization, and post-procedure documentation while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and CQI standards.

The role requires ARRT certification or state licensure, BLS, and experience with C-Arm and interventional equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma; associate degree desirable; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current ARRT certification and/or state licensure as per state regulations.
• Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and procedure room per policies and regulations.
• Set up stocks and trays with supplies and interventional equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions/concerns.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfers.
• Input patient data into C-Arm and assist physician during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety practices.
• Ensure medical records accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Maintain facility environmental integrity and inventory levels.
• Assist in training new staff and inventory management.
• Participate in CQI meetings and communicate with physicians.
