Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Dayton, OH seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology Support Specialist who will assist physicians during procedures, prepare rooms, and ensure sterile technique while following HIPAA and CQI standards.

You will manage supplies, operate C-Arm fluoroscopy under supervision, document patient data, and help maintain equipment and inventory, contributing to timely patient care and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree desirable; and Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure (as per state regulations) Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
• 4 – 6 years’ related experience desirable. 1 year experience preferred for Candidates with ARRT.
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment (including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment).
• Experience with monitoring and maintaining inventory.
• Proficient in computers and related software such as Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Performs activities necessary for preparation of patient and procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Reviews orders to determine materials and supplies needed for procedures.
• Sets up and stocks procedure room with supplies and interventional equipment before procedures.
• Assists physician during interventional procedures as scrub, and administers fluoroscopy.
• Maintains sterile technique and HIPAA compliance.
• Draws up and labels intravenous medications per policy; prepares patient data for charting.
• Documents patient data and maintains medical records in compliance with policy.
