Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Support Technician to assist physicians during procedures, prepare rooms, and maintain equipment with strict adherence to safety and HIPAA policies.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, data entry, inventory control, and CQI participation to improve care quality. The role requires ARRT certification and a strong background in radiology support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure (as per state regulations) Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
• Experience with interventional procedures and maintaining required materials/supplies for each procedure.
• Knowledge and experience of sterile techniques; universal precautions and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Reviews orders to determine materials and supplies needed and sets up trays accordingly.
• Assists physician during interventional procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• Handles data entry for patient information and procedure documentation.
• Maintains inventory and assists with ordering and restocking supplies.
• Ensures imaging and records are properly archived and accessible.
• Participates in CQI meetings and supports quality goal attainment.
