Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Augusta, GA seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support procedural preparation, equipment operation, and patient care in a busy hospital setting. You will work with physicians to perform fluoroscopy-guided interventions, maintain sterile technique, manage supplies, and ensure accurate records while adhering to regulatory standards.

Requires ARRT certification or State licensure, 4–6 years of related experience, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree desirable; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure; Interventional Radiology certificate preferred.
• 4–6 years’ related experience desirable; 1 year ARRT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies and state/federal regulations.
• Sets up/stocks procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment; cleans room post procedure.
• Explains procedures to patient, answers questions, and addresses concerns.
• Assists with patient transfers and positioning; inputs patient data into the C-Arm.
• Acts as scrub assistant during interventional procedures and administers fluoroscopy while maintaining sterile technique.
• Complies with HIPAA, labels intravenous medications, and processes x-ray images for records.
