Job summary

Advocate South Suburban Hospital's Interventional Radiology department seeks a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a full-time role. The schedule features four 10-hour days per week with call responsibilities of one weeknight and every fourth weekend, plus rotating holidays.

The position involves operating angiographic and ultrasound equipment for a range of procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining imaging records.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of radiology positioning, techniques and safety.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience in interventional radiology or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates angiographic and ultrasound equipment for basic to advanced procedures.
• Performs neuroendovascular, interventional radiology or interventional cardiology procedures as assigned.
• Monitors patient status and responds to emergencies; performs CPR when needed.
• Maintains imaging records, labels images, and ensures accurate billing codes.
• Serves as a resource and preceptor for staff and students.
